Schools of FISH is sponsored by the Friends of FISH Foundation, an independent non-profit organization focused on awareness and funding for FISH. FISH provides food bags for hungry families in Knox County and in 2008 gave out over 129,000 bags. Food is distributed through the FISH Hospitality Pantries in three locations in Knox County, and by home delivery for those unable to travel to a pantry.
Schools of FISH Chapters are being formed at area high schools. Each Chapter will have leadership that is a part of the Schools of FISH Knox County Leadership Council. School chapters will ultimately direct their own activities with the school and the overall Schools of FISH organization. The Schools of FISH Knox County Leadership Council will help drive the direction of the collective group and plan for overall activities each year.
